Privacy policy

Sylixs is a US staffing service that applies for jobs on behalf of job seekers. To do that we need a lot of personal information from you, and we want you to know exactly what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to get it removed. This page is written in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
Everything we collect comes from you, through our intake form and later conversations. That includes:
- Contact details: legal name, email, phone, city and state, LinkedIn and portfolio links.
- US work authorization: your status (for example citizen, green card, H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT), arrival and expiration dates, sponsorship needs, and H-1B lottery history.
- Education and work history, skills, certifications, and your current resume.
- Job search preferences: target titles, locations, salary expectations, start date, deal-breakers, and companies to prioritize or avoid.
- References, if you choose to give them.
- Later on: the tailored resumes and cover letters we write for you, and the list of applications we submit.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, passport numbers, bank details, or passwords through the intake form. If a specific employer application requires one of those, we will ask you to enter it yourself.
Why we collect it
- To decide honestly whether we can help you (the fit check).
- To build your online profiles, portfolio, resume, and cover letters.
- To find suitable roles and submit applications in your name, with your approval.
- To keep you informed with a tracker and weekly report.
Who sees it
- The Sylixs team, including the people who write your resume and submit your applications.
- Employers you apply to. When we submit an application on your behalf, the employer receives the same information you would send yourself: your resume, cover letter, contact details, and answers to their screening questions. Applications go out under your name, not ours.
- Google. Our intake form, response spreadsheet, and file storage run on Google Forms, Sheets, and Drive. Google's own privacy policy applies to how they operate those services.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with recruiters, advertisers, or anyone else outside the list above.
Nothing is sent without your approval. You review and approve the list of target companies before any application goes out, and you can add, remove, or block a company at any time by emailing us.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while we are actively working with you, and for up to 12 months after your last application so we can answer follow-up questions from employers and from you. After that we delete it. If you never become a client (for example the fit check says no), we delete your intake within 90 days.
How to see, correct, or delete it
Email hello@sylixs.com from the address you used on the intake form. We will send you a copy of what we hold, correct anything that's wrong, or delete everything, within 10 business days. Deleting your data ends our work together, since we can't apply on your behalf without it.
Security
Your data lives in Google Workspace accounts with two-factor authentication, restricted to the team members working on your search. We do not store your data on personal devices or unmanaged services. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you by email as soon as we know.
Website
This website does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics that identify you. It is a static page hosted on Cloudflare. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) for security, which are handled under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and email current clients.
